Description: Wild Chives are moisture-loving edible wildflowers that prefer a sunny location. The blooms start out a vibrant violet and slowly fade with age but the shape is retained as the plant goes into seed. Chives also make good cut-flowers and will freely seed themselves about.

Found in Nature: Moist to Wet open sunny sites, banks and shores.

Distribution: Not Common - Rocky Mountains, Boreal Forest

Notes: Available as larger potted stock - pick up only.

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
