Description: This plant is elegant, as its Latin name implies, with its crisp white blooms and long graceful leaves. It makes a showy addition to any garden and makes a unique specimen plant, but comes with a warning label regarding its toxicity. Camas are POISONOUS and care should be taken with children and pets. They are slow-growing and take 3-5 years to bloom from seed.

Found in Nature: Moist ditches, meadows and open wooded areas.

Distribution: Foothills, Rocky Mountains
