Description: Woolly pale green, almost silvery, lance-shaped foliage and pretty papery blooms that linger well into summer make this wildflower an interesting addition to lightly shaded spaces where silvery foliage is less common. This plant is attractive to butterflies and will also draw in bees although it is not one of the bee's favourites. Showy Everlasting will spread but is not overly aggressive; the flowers work well in cut or dried arrangements.

Found in Nature: Open woods, moist meadows and ditches.

Distribution: Found across Canada and along the Rocky Mountains in the U.S.

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
