Description: This ornamental grass turns golden-orange in the fall and attracts birds when the heavy seeds drop to the ground in the fall. It is a long-lived, slow-growing perennial and does not fully die back in the winter providing visual interest year-round. It tolerates a variety of soils and has a unique, pleasing fragance.

Found in Nature: Mixed grass prairies.

Distribution: Central North America from Texas to Alberta.
