Description: This plant has great foliage and provides great texture as well as fantastic fall color to shady moist or wet areas. This wildflower blooms in early spring with delicate white flowers that can be easily missed if you’re not paying attention. Sweet Cicely can provide a leafy understory to moist shrub beds and is great in shady moist gardens. The seeds have a sweet licorice scent when crushed.

Found in Nature: Shady creek beds, drainage channels or moist wooded sites and slopes.

Distribution: Sub-Montane to Montane
