Description: This early-blooming wildflower steals the show in early spring with its size and large sunny blooms. Often found on sunny slopes, it grows in full sun or light shade on the edge of the woods. This wildflower will attract pollinators and birds into your space. This is a great choice for large planting or naturalization project where its full form will have presence in a large space.

Found in Nature: Exposed grassy slopes or open wooded areas with well drained soils to open drier, stony landscapes.

Distribution: BC & Alberta to Colorado

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
