Description: Tall and usually narrow (when planted alone, can become wider in ideal conditions) up to 25 to 30m in height. Dark green needles in bundles of two, 6-8cm long. Cones have sharp bract on scales, will persist for multiple seasons. Alberta's provincial tree.

Found in Nature: Montane to foothills.

Distribution: North of Cochrane, found further east than the normal forest populations.
