Description: This wildflower has tones of appeal starting with its pinky-purple, showy, nectar-filled blooms that attract hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. The heat of a summer's day brings out the scent of Wild Bergamot which is great in any space. The clumping habit combined with the larger size of this wildflower really gives it presence in the landscape and cool autumn evenings turn the foliage an iridescent pinky red. This plant also works well in a smaller garden but is clump-forming and may need to be divided after a few years.

Found in Nature: Open wooded sites, prairie ditches, meadows, sunny hillsides & rocky slopes.

Distribution: Prairies, Foothills, Montane

Notes: Available as larger potted stock - pick up only.

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
