Description: Tall stalks of deep blue/purple blooms in July and August are a showy addition to wooded areas and moist meadows. Their sheer size makes them majestic and they look amazing growing next to Cow Parsnip in moist tall grass meadows. These plants are poisonous to livestock and could put grazing animals at risk but the seeds of Delphiniums are heavy and do not travel far from the mother plant, so plant it with forethought and consideration.

Found in Nature: Woodlands, moist meadows, creek beds and wet shaded sites.

Distribution: Rocky Mountains, Western Boreal Forest

Notes: Available as larger potted stock - pick up only.

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
