Description: This anemone grows in the Rocky Mountains and can be found in sunny moist areas next to streams and rivers, or in areas that are seasonally flooded. It is an uncommon native Anemone that will need shelter in the winter (snow cover) and moist soils. This little wildflower grows in the Rocky Mountains and can be found in moist areas next to streams and rivers, or in areas that are seasonally flooded. This Anemone has a spreading root system and will form a compact ground cover if it has no competition. It only produces a single flower per stem and often blooms several times through the growing season.

Found in Nature: Mountain stream, riverbanks, floodplains and moist open wooded areas.

Distribution: Rocky Mountains, Boreal Forest
