Description: This deep-rooted drought-tolerant wildflower has great form and bright flowers that bloom in the summer. The contrasting colors and textures are very showy, and Showy Locoweed can often be spotted in roadside ditches. This is a very tough wildflower and a great selection for rock gardens, prairie plantings, and exposed sunny gardens or along driveways.

Found in Nature: Dry open slopes, well drained meadows and ditches.

Distribution: Foothills, Montane, Southern Rocky Mountains

Important Information: The "Bloom Period" is an indicator of the time period within which the wildflowers will bloom and does not describe the time period that a single plant will bloom. The "Sizes" listed are intended to be a general guideline to consult during plant selection. Plant growth and bloom times will vary depending on geographical location & individual site conditions.
