Description: With pretty white blooms, attractive foliage and showy seed pods, this wildflower can be quite interesting and attractive. The nectar of the Milkweed flower attracts many kinds of insects that feed on the leaves and other parts of the plants including Monarch Butterflies. Planting Milkweed will benefit many species such as predatory bugs that will help to control other pests in your garden. **Warning** Milkweed sap contains toxins which are destroyed by heat, cooking is required before ingesting. Avoid planting near livestock grazing areas.

Found in Nature: Open woods, sunny moist slopes and grassy meadows.
