Description: This grass has great seed heads on crooked stems and a vase-like form making it quite attractive and quietly intriguing. It has a preference for sandy soils and sunny sites. It would make an interesting container plant or specimen grass in a formal garden or plant it with other grasses for added texture.

Found in Nature: Sandy soils, open sites, rocky embankments and dry river beds.

Distribution: Prairie, Parkland
