Description: Stunning cheery pink blooms at the beginning of summer steal the show. This compact native cactus works great in containers, crevices or rock gardens, or any hot dry spaces that get little water and lots of heat. This plant would do well in the dry zone under the eaves on the south side of a building that get full sun. Cacti also makes a great deterrent for unwanted foot traffic.

Found in Nature: Dry open sites in the Prairies and Montane.

Distribution: Canada to Mexico
