Description: This compact native grass can form small mats and produces showy seed clusters that dangle and bob in the breeze. Alpine Blue Grass is a wonderful specimen grass and is great in urban gardens where space is at a premium due to its small stature.

Found in Nature: Moist to dry, sunny sites in the mountains.

Distribution: Subalpine to Alpine
