Description: Bright yellow flowers peek out from in between heart-shaped leaves. This violet is found growing in shady forest nooks with rich soil, sometimes in wet boggy areas. Violets’ are rhizome spreaders and under the right circumstances can form a nice groundcover.

Found in Nature: Moist to wooded sites, wet sunny sites.
