Description: The silky, silver hairy perennial can cause slight skin irritation to some hence its name, but not everyone is bothered by it. It is however amazingly beautiful in flower, blooming in late May to early August. It has a nice form with interesting feathery foliage, and would look great in a rockery or maybe at the entrance to a gravely driveway.

Found in Nature: Dry, rocky open sites, hillsides.
