Rocky Mountian Fescue
Festuca saximontana

Description: This hardy native grass is smaller than Rough Fescue and a different shade of green. As a specimen grass it has great form and color, in a native planting it germinates quickly and is a vigorous grower. Its low growing habit makes it a good “no mow” lawn alternative.

Found in Nature: Dry open sites.
