Description: This lower growing Aster is compact and spreads by rhizomes through the soil to fill in the nooks and cranies of open rocky sites and gravelly ditches. It would be a showy late blooming addtion to well drained rock gardens and exposed sunny sites where is has room to grow.

Found in Nature: Open rocky sites, slopes and rock outcropings.
