Native Grass Seed

Some native grasses can be slow to germinate preferring to wait until the conditions are right before germinating while other are quick to germinate and grow. When seeding out a grass mix you might find the different varieties of grass germinate at different times. Most grasses are cool season crops, for best results sow grasses in the early spring or in late summer when the temperatures are cooler. Wild About Flowers does not collect native grass seed but brings it in from sources within western Canada.
