Description: Dusty burgundy/red flowers bow gracefully down over the attractive foliage in late spring. This plant is also known as "Prairie Smoke" or "Old Man's Beard" and has a well rounded appearance with its full form, amazing flowers and feathery seed heads that linger into late summer. Reddish fall foliage completes this package making it a definite favorite!
Found in Nature: Open Woodlands, Prairie Meadows and well drained ditches.
